A seed is a promise indeed watch it sprout or watch it bleed!

I like your poem, I like your glee.

The mysteries you unfolded beneath a tree.

Happy to help man, praise is to be given when praise is deserved! :D

I really love this one Benno, so concise and in its consicion lies its understated power and depth of beauty....much like the seed itself, a small container for massive ideas and universal truths that are awe-inspiring when examined. Wonderful piece.

Yo! Thanks so much, really way the way you summed it up, the poem seeds, what kind of things we want to sprout in the reader!

concision** crazy that the substack app doesn't allow you to edit your posts for errors...anyway

I didn't know the app doesn't let edits, I mostly try to use only web for that, which does let you

I hate my phone but it's so much more accessible on a daily basis ,but the app’s limitations are glaring sometimes I must say. Wish I could use web primarily lol

Love the tying in of poets and seeds. The poet as a bringer of life. Seeds as an attempt. Not everyone succeeds but we all have potential, right?

Hope all is well Benno! Hope you had a great easter.

Thanks Martin! Somehow I missed your comment a while ago! Is up to us what grows in our gardens, weeds or flowers!

I like giving seeds as presents more so than full blown flowers. I really like the seed metaphor you setup but personally I think of seeds as potential, not a promise.

It has the potential to be a flower if you care for it.

Which then begs the question, does this soul have the potential to be divine?

Your way here with promise is more optimistic. It will turn into a flower.

I've had many seeds not grow for me however 🤣

Fair point! I guess it’s also a matter of how far the metaphor can stretch as for me promises also have to be carried out, tended to. I might have to try giving rose seeds as a present to a girl and see what they think!

Yeah that's why this one resonated with me. But do try the seeds. They are cheaper, easier to pack, and have a deeper insight!

Plus they usually have pictures of the flowers one them 🤣
